Noordtrans is still a family-owned company, true to its traditions and personal approach. However, the company has undergone major transformations. Our fleet consists of four vessels that excel in technology, design, and quality.
It all began in 1970 when our senior founders, Mr. and Mrs. Besjes, took over the helm of a vessel named Noordkaap, after having learned the intricacies of the shipping trade from their own parents. It soon became clear that C.J. Besjes Jr. (Ron) also had a strong interest in inland shipping.
